Over the last 15 years Alpine’s Gallery Night Art Walk has grown to attract over 10,000 people and has become a signature event in the Big Bend region of Texas. The combination of art, craft, music, food, and activities fuse to create a celebration, huge in scope, big in heart, and praiseworthy under a beautiful big ole West Texas sky. This year’s event is poised to attract record crowds, be the biggest and best yet, and uniquely showcase the galleries, shops, and art in Alpine, the greatest small town in Texas. The festive gala atmosphere and quality of Gallery Night Art Walk composes the itineraries of visitors each ending with Alpine as their destination. Sounds great, but we can’t do it without your help. This award winning event needs your financial support.

Art Walk Gallery Night has a proud tradition of charitable donations for local art programs. Each year our goal is to increase our financial support for area art programs. Sul Ross State University receives a yearly scholarship. The last three years we have been able to include all tri-county schools in our donations. Our goal is to increase the assistance to our area art programs with more monies for education, supplies, and equipment. Over the years your support has become vital to accomplishing these goals. We simply can’t do it without community involvement. Preparations are being made for 2009 and we are very excited about what has already been accomplished.

Wayne Baize has been selected as this year’s Honored Artist, exemplifying the artists of the Big Bend with his accomplishments, ability, and prestige. Mr. Baize is a cowboy artist, a special guest, and deserving honoree for this years Gallery night. This years’ musical line up is equally exciting. For Friday we have headlining, local favorite, Matt Skinner. And, for Saturday, hold onto your sombrero, shake your delirium tremolos, clean out the snake farm and growl for our Texas grown restless spirit eternal and lowdown Ray Wylie Hubbard. Can you believe it? This is a free event, sponsored and owned by the Alpine community, and it has grown to reflect the dynamic qualities of local and individual color. The success of the event is surely reflected by community support. Please consider one or more of the sponsor levels. The bottom line is that we need your help in order for Gallery Night to continue to be a growing reflection of Alpine Texas.

Sponsorship of Alpine’s Gallery Night Art Walk is good for business. We advertise in, at, and on Billboards, Texas Monthly, Texas Highways, Cowboys and Indians, web sites, newspapers, direct mail, radio, television, billboards, and every free thing we can manage and we have over 20,000 families and businesses on our current mailing list. All sponsors are recognized according to the level of sponsorship.

Together we can ensure Gallery Nights success and secure the future of this important community event. Thank you for your support.
