Ceramics by Leslie Libby – Leslie Libby is a ceramics artist living and working in Austin, Texas. She began pottery in 1974 in Chicago, then continued her studies at Montana State University under Rick Pope. After taking a hiatus to study Aikido in Japan and pursue a career in renewable energy, she returned to pottery full-time. She considers clay to be “the ultimate open-source medium,” and never ceases to be delighted by how one can take a ball of clay and mold it into anything your imagination can dream up. Leslie strives for control over her medium, but appreciates that what ultimately comes out of the kiln is always a surprise.
