Kiowa Gallery

“Rest Peacefully”

Inspired by the resonate beauty of the rugged canyons and the rich history of the Big Bend region of Texas and Mexico, Keri Artzt the talented, discerning owner of Kiowa Gallery has assembled a collection of works from artists and artisans whose works illustrate and embody the vast richness, diversity, and character of the region. For eighteen years Kiowa Gallery has provided a venue for patrons of the arts to acquaint themselves with the crème de la crème cadre of people whose works reflect the dynamic and unique landscape, life, and love of the terrain and enduring spirit of the inhabitants of far southwest Texas.

This year Kiowa Gallery will feature the breathtaking impressionistic oils of Doug Durant, the folk inspired works of muralist Jeri Moore, Richard Fenker’s impressive seven foot regional landscape photographs, the dynamic and sweet cow portraits of Teresa Elliott, found object and sculptural creations of Harry Weekley, award winning photographs by Rachael Waller, cactus inspired watercolors and ceramics by David Warren, sculptures and knives of Valereo Pando, unique jewelry by Paul Wiggins local favorite Georgia Waller, and will introduce to Alpine, Steve Davis, a contemporary assemblage artist from Port Aransas.

Keri added the Back Room Boutique to Kiowa Gallery three years ago and it has become the preferred destination for shoppers seeking quality designer fashions featuring clothing by Tasha Polizzi, Ryan Michaels, Double D Ranch Wear and fine Peruvian collections among others. The sculpture garden will be open and will feature wine tastings by Texas vintners.

Come join Kiowa Gallery in celebrating life, art, and eighteen years in this beautiful and unique place that we are lucky enough to call home and that visitors can count their fortune to have found. We will have wine, song, sculpture and art, assemblage, jewelry, clothing, and a smile. Kiowa Gallery welcomes all to Artwalk with the premiere amalgamation of artists, art, and style.  This year Kiowa Gallery dedicates its show to the life of Peggy Rae Martin, a spirit that will live in our walls forever. Amen.
