Savor the Arts is a program launched this spring by Alpine’s Artwalk Board of Directors to benefit area wide schools art programs. The Board of Directors worked hard, did live interviews on Marfa Public Radio, press releases and person to person contact in an effort to sale tickets for the arts programs. “We reached half of our goal” said Board president Clarence Rousseau, “we will try harder next year”.
Marian Freeland of Alpine was thrilled to be the winner; she will receive a five course dinner for 20, a menu and venue of her choice. The meal will be cooked by area Chefs, served and cleaned by Alpine’s Gallery Night Board of Directors. The winner gets to choose the menu, the location where the dinner will take place and who they would like to invite.
